白腹狮子鱼

<em>Liparis alboventer</em> is a marine snailfish belonging to the family Liparidae, a family characterised by soft, gelatinous bodies, reduced or absent scales, and a ventral suction disk derived from fused pelvic fins that allows attachment to substrates. This saltwater species has been recorded at depths of up to approximately 75 metres, placing it in the sublittoral to upper bathyal zone. It attains a maximum recorded length of approximately 14.1 cm. Details of habitat and range for this species remain limited in the ichthyological literature. Liparidae are broadly distributed across cold and temperate seas, including the North Pacific, North Atlantic, Arctic, and Antarctic oceans, and range from the intertidal zone to hadal depths exceeding 8,000 metres in some species. Snailfish typically inhabit cold, structurally complex environments such as rocky reefs, kelp beds, and deep-sea trenches. They are carnivorous, feeding on small crustaceans, polychaetes, and other benthic invertebrates. <em>L. alboventer</em> is of no commercial fisheries significance and is not kept in aquaria. Its primary scientific interest lies in the ecology of cold-water marine fish communities and the biogeography of the Liparidae.
