Alburnus selcuklui

<em>Alburnus selcuklui</em> is a small freshwater fish in the family Leuciscidae, endemic to Turkey. The species name likely references a geographical locality or historical region in Anatolia associated with its native range. Turkey is a center of diversity for the genus <em>Alburnus</em>, hosting numerous endemic bleak species that have evolved in isolated river basins and lake systems across the Anatolian plateau and surrounding regions. This species is a slender, silvery fish with a laterally compressed body and a small upturned mouth typical of the bleak group.
