Nannacara adoketa

<em>Nannacara adoketa</em> is a small freshwater cichlid of the family Cichlidae, native to river systems in South America. This species typically reaches a maximum length of approximately 4.9 cm. Members of the genus <em>Nannacara</em> are dwarf cichlids associated with the Amazon basin and surrounding drainages, often found in soft, acidic, black-water streams and small tributaries shaded by forest canopy. These environments are characterized by low conductivity, tannin-stained water, and leaf-litter substrates. <em>Nannacara adoketa</em> and its congeners typically feed on small invertebrates and microcrustaceans.
