A small hillstream loach from the Garo Hills of northeastern India, adapted to clear, fast-flowing mountain streams. Has a modified ventral surface for adhesion to rocks in high-current habitats.

Habitat & Distribution
Clear mountain streams of the Garo Hills, Meghalaya and Assam in northeastern India. Swift, shallow water over rocky substrates in forested hill stream habitats.

Endemic to the Garo Hills of Meghalaya in northeastern India, within the Brahmaputra drainage. Known from small, clear, fast-flowing hill streams over rocky beds in forested montane habitat at moderate elevation.
